Peggy A. Born

Peggy A. Born, passed away on May 25, 2023, at the age of 78.  Peggy was born in Indianapolis, IN on June 14, 1944, to parents, Leonard F. and Roselyn M. (June) Scalf.  During her career, Peggy worked as a supply coordinator at St. Francis Hospital, retiring in 2009.

Peggy enjoyed casinos, bar bingo, playing cards and dancing.  She also loved movies (especially ones with Patrick Swayze) and recently developed quite a green thumb tending to her house plants.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Roselyn as well as her husband, Laurence Born.

Survivors include siblings: Nancy Long, Brenda Schoenbachler (Charlie), Janice Hooper, Debbie Qualls (Kenny) and Carol Eaton; as well as many other loving extended family and beloved friends.

Visitation will be held from 11am until 3pm on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington Park East, Indianapolis), where funeral services will immediately follow, beginning at 3pm.  Inurnment will be private in Washington Park East Cemetery.
