Pauline Clark Moore passed peacefully into Heavenly rest on August 29, 2013, at the Masonic Home in Franklin, Indiana. She was born October 10, 1913 in Indianapolis, Indiana to John and Hazel Clark. She was married to Bob Moore on August 12, 1967. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Pauline was a private piano teacher for many years and was well known on the West Side. She graduated from George Washington High School and studied piano pedagogy in New York City. She was active in the West Washington Street Presbyterian Church where she was a member and was the church organist. She later became a member of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. Pauline was an Honorary Life Member of the Indianapolis Matinee Musicale; Counselor Emeritus of Student Junior Sections; Honorary Life Member Indiana Piano Teachers Guild; Life Member of Phi Beta Music Fraternity; National Federation of Music Clubs; a member of Queen Esther #3 Order of Eastern star for over seventy years.
She is survived by her longtime friend, Audrey Baldwin and two former students she referred to as the children she never had Steve Patrick and Nancy Falconbury Bennett as well as other former students. It was said of Pauline, "if you have a difficult task and you want it done well, give it to Pauline."
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that contributions be given in Pauline's name to the Indianapolis Matinee Musicale, Student/Junior Section: 8950 Sassafras Court., Indianapolis, Indiana 46260, attn. Judy Kasle ~ Treasurer.
