Pauline D. Mitchell

92, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, January 26,2016. Pauline was born in Gray, KY onAugust 27, 1923 to parents, Daniel Webster and Minnie (Faris) Doby. She earned her bachelor’s degree from UnionCollege in Barbourville, KY and worked as a fifth grade school teacher prior toleaving the education system to raise her family. Pauline was a terrific cook who lovedgardening, bird watching and enjoying her family. She enjoyed reading, her favorite authorsincluded John Grisham and Mary Higgins Clark. She also enjoyed working wordsearches, playing Crazy 8’s and spending time with her special friends:Madison, Mason and Madden.

Pauline waspreceded in death by her husband, Willard S. Mitchell; her parents Daniel andMinnie Doby; one brother, John Thomas Doby; and niece, Mary Catherine Hollomon. She will be lovingly missed by her daughters,Sandra K. Mitchell and Jo Anne Mitchell; and niece, Nancy Tiegreen.

Calling will beheld from 3pm until 6pm on Sunday, January 31, 2016 in Flanner andBuchanan- Washington Park East, where funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, February1, 2016. Burial will be in WashingtonPark East.
