Paulette L. “Nanny” Day

69, of Indianapolis, died February 23, 2016. “Nanny” as she was known, was born on May 24, 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Lonnie and Nettie (Goings) Grayson. Nanny worked in janitorial services for the State of Indiana for about 10 years before retiring. However, first and foremost, she was a devoted mother, grandmother and surrogate mother to many, which is where her nickname of “Nanny” came from. She will be greatly missed! She is survived by her daughters Connie Day, Jennifer See, a son David Day, sisters Brenda Edgar, Helen Motes, Jeanette Pack, brothers Bobby, Gene Bryant, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday from 4-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan- Floral Park. Services will be Saturday at 10am in the funeral center. Burial will follow the services in Floral Park Cemetery.
