Paul Richard Gilpin
74, Indianapolis, wonderful husband, terrific father and awesome grandfather, passed away May 31, 2011. Paul worked as an auto mechanic for 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Boy Scouts and Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Paul enjoyed fishing and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Gilpin; sons, Michael, Mark, Joseph and James Gilpin; grandchildren, Christopher, Maria, Dustin, Angelica, Catherine, Jacqueline and great grandson, Zachary; brothers, Jerry M. Gilpin, David and Dennis Wetter; sister, Donna Gilpin. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Frances Gilpin; son, Jeff Gilpin; brother, Robert Halls and step-father, James Wetter. Services for Paul will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park East, with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 3.
