Paul Richard Gilpin

Paul Richard Gilpin 74, Indianapolis, wonderful husband, terrific father and awesome grandfather, passed away May 31, 2011. Paul worked as an auto mechanic for 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Boy Scouts and Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Paul enjoyed fishing and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Gilpin; sons, Michael, Mark, Joseph and James Gilpin; grandchildren, Christopher, Maria, Dustin, Angelica, Catherine, Jacqueline and great grandson, Zachary; brothers, Jerry M. Gilpin, David and Dennis Wetter; sister, Donna Gilpin. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Frances Gilpin; son, Jeff Gilpin; brother, Robert Halls and step-father, James Wetter. Services for Paul will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park East, with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 3.
