Paul Mowery Vos, 93, passedaway 10/16/2016. Paul was born 4/28/1923. Paul was preceded indeath by his beloved wife June; his parents Cornelius and Sylvia Vos; brothersBill and Richard; and sister Judy. He graduated from Warren Central HighSchool in 1941 and graduated from Purdue University in 1949. He served inthe military from 1942 to 1945 as a pilot. He retired from AllisonTransmission Division, GMC, in 1988. Paul has one daughter, Julie Skaggs,and one son, Andy Vos. He has three grandchildren, James, Jennifer andDanny. He has two nieces, Marcia (Steve) De La Rosa and Jeannie (Jerry)Holcomb. Paul was a Dale Carnegie graduate and taught Carnegie classes atAllisons as well as the Pendleton Reformatory, Pendleton, Indiana. He receivedmany letters from those he taught telling him how he changed their lives. He taught Sunday School at Broadway United Methodist Church, where he startedattending when he was a baby, and continued to be a devoted member. Paulwas president of the Scientech Club in 2000 and served on the board from2005-2007, 2010-2013. He was a member of the Indianapolis Sailing Club,the Aero Club, Acacia, ASME, and Railfans of Indianapolis, as well as alife member of the Purdue University President's Council.
Paul, June and Andyloved trains and took many train trips across the country. Paul alwaysplanned the trips while June and Andy enjoyed them. Paul also enjoyedsailing and he was the skipper and Julie was his mate on their many voyages atGeist.
Paul loved June and Juneloved to dance. So they danced. They are now dancing to theirfavorite tunes and holding hands and laughing. Joy. Joy. Joy.

Visitation will be heldThursday at Broadway United Methodist Church from 10-12pm, with a memorialservice to begin there at 12pm.
