Paul Lawrence "Larry" Butt

Paul Lawrence “Larry” Butt, 76 of Fishers, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017.  Larry was born October 25, 1941 in Indianapolis to the late Paul M. and Virginia Butt.  He graduated from Shortridge High School in 1959, from the University of Cincinnati in 1964 and from the Indiana University School of Law in 1968.

Larry served in the legal department of Indianapolis Power and Light from 1968-1975.  He joined Marsh Supermarkets in 1975 and retired as Vice President, Counsel, and Secretary of the Board of Directors in 2006.

Larry attended Christ Community Church.  He was an Eagle Scout with two Palm Leaves in the Crossroads Council of Boy Scouts of America.  He was also a member of Phi Delta Theta.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 2 at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Conner Suite, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 3 with additional gathering one hour prior to the service.

Larry is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Lee Anne; children, Dr. Christopher M. (wife, Melissa Varner) Butt and Lauren L. (husband, Jay) Caron; grandchildren, Davis W. Caron, Gavin M. P. Varner, Audrey M. Caron and Kendall L. Varner; brother, Dr. Stephen T. (wife, Maria) Bett; sister, Kathleen V. (husband, Theodore J.) Michel.
