Paul Jacob Odendahl, Sr.

Paul J. Odendahl Sr. Carmel - Peacefully passed away on December 21, 2021 at the age of 87. Devoted husband of Ida (Cardamone) Odendahl for 61 years. Beloved father of Lori (Bill) Odendahl-Klemish, Paul J. Odendahl Jr., and Robert (Shelly) Odendahl. Cherished grandfather of Alex Odendahl, Josh and Jake Stark, Olivia McKenna, Madison Odendahl, Courtney and Cassie Klemish. His legacy includes loving the Lord and his family, which meant everything to him. Paul was a veteran who proudly served in the US Navy. He pursued a career in the automobile industry where he worked for Chrysler for 34 years. While working his way up to plant superintendent, Paul obtained a master's degree from Central Michigan University. After retiring from Chrysler, Paul achieved another dream of his. He taught college courses at Purdue University. In his free time, he used the carpentry skills he acquired in the Navy to make many beautiful pieces of furniture. He loved to paint and those paintings that hang on our walls remind us of his true talent. When Paul wanted to relax, he enjoyed playing and listening to the piano. With all that Paul accomplished in life, he touched many lives and will be missed by his family and friends. Services will be held Sunday January 16, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel, 325 Carmel Drive, Carmel, IN. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm with the service to immediately follow.
