Paul Edward Hurley

Paul Edward Hurley, 77, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on October 12, 2025.

He was born on January 31, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was united in marriage to Barbara in 1969, and they shared a loving marriage creating beautiful memories for 56 years.

Paul was known for his devotion to his family, kind heart, and constant thoughtfulness for others. Throughout his life, he enjoyed participating in kids and grandkids activities, including bmx racing, sports of every variety and theater productions. He enjoyed his lifelong career as a plumber for Local 440. He also enjoyed being a certified instructor of the apprenticeship program and UA welding program.

He is survived by wife Barbara (Lane) Hurley, children Michelle Fitzpatrick, Dan Hurley (Robin), grandchildren Tabitha Runion and Casey Hurley, great-grandchildren Natalee Darzentas, Margot Crain. Sister Sandra Hotopp and brother Jim Hurley. Sister-in-law Wanda Hurley. Many nieces and nephews as well as long time friends and neighbors. Special thanks to the staff of Community East Pulmonary Rehab for the tremendous support for so many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Katherine Hurley, brothers Richard Hurley, Michael Hurley. Sister Catherine Gordon. Sister-in-laws, Connie Hurley and Kay Hurley. Nephews Tim Hotopp, Tony Hotopp, Phil Hurley.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 2PM-5PM at Flanner Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229.
