Paul Pershing Harris, 95, died peacefully on January 5th at St Vincent hospital. Paul lived a long life and was much loved by his children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Mildred, and his 10 siblings, including his beloved younger sister, Mary. He was called "red " as a kid, which stuck throughout his life. Paul grew up in French Lick, which he loved, and enjoyed returning yearly for his high school reunions. At the 2012 reunion, his class was honored. Paul served in the Army during WWII, and spoke often of his time overseas. Paul was a proud lifetime member of the legion. Paul retired from Indiana Gear Works after 42 years. Paul loved showing off his tomatos from his garden. He was a very generous man, often coming to the aid of others. At the age of 90, Paul was thriving and bought himself a BMW, that he had always wanted. Paul will be sorely missed by his loved ones, who are grateful for his long life and good health. Paul is survived by his children Paul and Janice, grandchildren Matthew and Holly, and great grand children, Andrew, Nathaniel, and Maggie.
