Paul H. Byrd, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully December 20th, 2021. He was born March 13th, 1934, in Oneida, Tennessee, to parents Dilmon and Mae (Hughett) Byrd.

Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He married his soul mate, Vera Edith Byrd over 50 years ago. They shared many wonderful decades together. Vera passed away in 2016.

He was a very hard worker. Paul worked as a welder for General Motors for many years before retiring.

Paul was a loving family man. In his younger years, he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting. He and Vera took their family on many road trips and vacations, visiting their home states of Tennessee and Kentucky.

He was an adoring, loyal husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Paul is survived by his children Terry (Waylaree) Byrd, Regina (Ricky) Davis, and Donald Borja; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sisters Wanda and Shirley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Vera and six siblings.
