Paul "Gene" Seay

On March 23, 2019 Gene Seay, Irish Joke Telling, Life Loving, Iron Man, and our much loved Dad passed peacefully at home.

Our Mom, Elizabeth G. Seay, whom he loved beyond measure, preceded him in death on Feb 3, 2012.

Dad was born in Johnstown PA on July 24, 1926 to Paul J. and Ida (McFeaters) Seay. He was the last living member of his immediate family, his Brother Eddie and Sister Marjorie passed before him.

He was a WWII Veteran and member of the Brownsburg American Legion Post 331 where he played bridge and euchre And Everyone Knew His Name!

Dad followed in his Father’s footsteps making his living as an Iron Worker, he was a proud member of Iron Workers Local #22. When we’d take rides through Indy he would point out all the buildings and structures he helped build; The VA, Riley, and, Wishard Hospitals, bridges and towers…if it’s still standing he worked on it!

The last few years of his life Dad enjoyed studying the Bible with Dennis and Alan, active ministers with Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Dad always said his legacy was his family; his memory will forever be cherished by his Daughters, Jody, Debbie and Carol Jean his “Bonus Daughter”, Terri and his two sons by marriage Bill & Joe, also 6 grandchildren Carol Lynn, Christy, Sandy, Simon, Logan and Levi and 10 great-grandchildren Will, Dakota, Avery, Alex, Addison, Aidan, Liam, Mila, Joel and Dash as well as Nieces Paula and Amy, Nephew Robert and Dear Cousin Becky.

Dad did not want a formal service; his wish was for those who cared for him to spend that time with their loved ones.
