Paul Manley, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away January 15th, 2022. He was born in Indianapolis, October 3rd, 1932, to parents John and Claira (Kootz) Manley.
He proudly served in the United State Navy during the Korean War.
In 1957, he married the love of his life, Betty (Miller) Manley. They shared many wonderful years together. Betty passed away in 2010.
Paul was a very hard worker. He worked for the railroad for many years, and later entered the Electrical Apprenticeship with IBEW #481, where he became a journeyman wireman. He remained a dedicated member of IBEW for over 65 years.
Paul was a stoic, simple man with a big heart. He loved football, especially the Colts and Notre Dame. Paul adored his family and loved nothing more than spending time with and caring for his loved ones.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Paul is survived by his sons Mark (Shirley) and John (Lynda) Manley; Daughter Meda (Gary) Kosowan; son-in-law Robert Todd; grandchildren Neil Manley, Molly (Manley) Harper, Jack Manley, Claire Manley, Chad Todd, Andrew Todd and John Todd; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Betty; daughter Kimberly (Manley) Todd; and grandsons Brian Hillman and Adam Kosowan.
Visitation for Paul will be Monday January 24th at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East from 10am-12pm. His funeral service will begin at 12pm. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
