Paul D. Cook

April 25, 1952 — September 10, 2022

Fortville, Indiana

Paul David Cook, 70, left this world too soon on September 10th, 2022. He was born on April 25th, 1952, in Greencastle, Indiana to parents Edwin and Colene (Renfro) Cook.

In 1971 Paul took Sonnie to a Three Dog Night concert. She became the love of his life. On February 24, 1973, they were married and spent 49 years together.

Paul grew up in Lawrence, IN and graduated from Lawrence Central High School.

Paul was an avid race fan and could be found many weekends watching races on t.v. He spent over 40 years as a member of the Safety Patrol at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He was active in his community serving as a police commissioner and on the Fortville Action Inc. committee.

Paul is described by many as a quiet and kind man. He was a fiercely devoted Husband, Father, Pop Pop, Brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Sandra Cook; children: Andy (Angie) Cook, Amber (Keith) Harmon, Alex (Rebecca) Cook, and April (Scot) Freeman; grandchildren: Bella, Korbin, Dakota, Wyatt, Nola, Elliott, and Jeremiah; siblings: Greg, Jill, and Donna.

We will celebrate Paul by gathering together to visit and share stories of him on Saturday, September 17th, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 8115 Oaklandon Road Indianapolis, IN 46236 from 4-6 pm.
