Paul Andrew Winship, 56, of Camby, Indiana passed away on January 28, 2019. He was born November 26, 1962 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Harry and Ruth Winship.

He loved trying new foods and was an amazing cook. Paul enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles, particularly Ford Mustangs and Honda Goldwings. He was very talented with technology and considered himself an IT expert. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1980. Paul made the selfless decision to join the United States Military in 1983. He enlisted in the United States Army where he dutifully served his country for 32 years. His medals and commendations include: Army Achievement Medal (3rd), Army Good Conduct Medal (4th), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (3rd), as well as Driver and Mechanic Badge and the Louisiana Commendation Medal. He completed his service as a Military Police Officer with the Army National Guard. Upon completing his military service, he returned to school where he obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2004. Paul spent the last 14 years of his career working for the Transportation Security Administration as a TSA Agent.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ruth. Surviving to cherish his memory are loving partner of 7 years, Ayezem Amar; children, Pamela Winship, Paul Winship Jr., and  Diego Amar, Ayezem’s 12 year old son who looked up to Paul. Also surviving are siblings Donna (Johnny) Blackwell, David (Diane) Winship, Vickie (Jeff) Pattengale; nieces and nephews, Tabitha, Amanda, Alexa, David Jr., Bailey, Veronica and Jarod; as well as Ayez’s family, whom he grew very close to; Alberto (Judith) Bombardier, Yazbeth (Isidro) Del Angel, Zelina (Quirino) Rivera, Nazara (Ceonel) Olguin, Edgar (Laura) Bombardier, and Manuel (Elizabeth) Bombardier; as well as a host of extended family, friends, and co-workers whom Paul loved.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, February 4 from 10-1 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Ave, Indianapolis, IN. Military honors will take place at 1 PM at the funeral home.
