Patty Jean Martin, 91, of Lawrence, Indiana, passed away peacefully January 16th, 2022. She was born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky August 21st, 1930 to parents Sidney and Ruby (Tidwell) Davis.
Patty grew up in Kentucky and moved to Indianapolis in her 20’s.
She worked for Finance Center Credit Union as the head cashier for many years before retiring in 1994.
Patty was a loving, social lady. She was a valued member of North Eastwood Christian Church for many years. She was a very skilled seamstress and was a member of a sewing group. Patty volunteered at Community East hospital, lending her sewing talents to making pillows for children. An excellent baker, she was famous for her oatmeal pie. She enjoyed going to Bingo, and in her spare time, she like watching tv shows like “The Young and The Restless”. Above all, Patty adored her family and loved spending time with them.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Patty is survived by her son William “Billy” (Kristen) Martin, and daughter Suzanne Deckard; grandchildren Dustin, Blake, Heather, Hailey, Hannah, and Kristin; great-grandchildren Aiden, Asher, and Charlotte.
Besides her parents Sidney and Ruby, she is preceded in death by her brother Adrian.
