Patricia Sue Black

Patricia Sue Black, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 80. Patricia was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 20, 1946, to parents, Kenneth Elwood and Margaret Marie (Willis) Ausbrooks. Patricia graduated from Southport High School and went on to earn her degree from Indiana Business College. During her career, Patrica worked as a Legal Secretary, retiring from Chase.

Patricia loved shopping, Joel Olsteen, the Golden Girls, and grand cats. But most of all, she adored her children and loved and supported them in all their endeavors.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Margaret.

Patricia is survived by her children: Kevin Black and Laura Black; two brothers, John Ausbrooks (Terrie) and Mike Ausbrooks (Carolyn); and granddaughter Katelin Dupree.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30am on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E Washington St, Indianapolis), where friends may gather with the family following services until 1pm.  Inurnment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
