Patricia M. Rexroat

 Patricia “Pat” M. Rexroat, 79, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025.

Pat was born on March 6, 1946, in Sullivan, Indiana, to her beloved parents, Clarence R. Hylton and Lavina Jackson.

Pat was known for her kind heart, devotion to family, sense of humor, generosity, and her unconditional loving soul. Throughout her life, she enjoyed playing cards and games, family holiday gatherings, making the people around her smile, and of course hanging out on her back porch with a glass of Bacardi. She was a legend, very hard worker, and was deeply devoted to her family and friends. She retired from Western Electric in 1984 and began her own journey in the bar business, where she got the name OG of the Eastside Chapter where Good Friends meet.

She is survived by Children: Ronette Spurgeon, Sherry McDowell, and Tammy Rexroat, Grandchildren: Ashley (Carl) Drake and Briana (John) Spurgeon, Great Grandchildren: Khloe McKinney, Rylie and Asher Drake, Siblings: Debbie (Dan) Pedzinski, Nephew: Andrew (Lily) Hylton and James (Lisa) Hylton, Nieces: Kimberly Hylton, Kelly Hylton, Darci (Austin) Whitted and Dayna (Anthony) Lemon, with many great nieces, nephews and cousins along with many great friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence Hylton and Lavina Jackson, and Brothers: Allen Hylton, Denny Hylton, Terry Hylton, and Ronnie Jackson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM, at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, located at 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229.

The burial will take place following services at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greenwood, IN at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rosie’s Southside Animal Shelter, in Pat’s memory.
