It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Prince announce her passing on October 7, 2026, at the age of 85 after a lengthy battle with dementia at the Barrington in Carmel, Indiana. She was surrounded by family on her final moment of life.
Pat was born in Maine on June 17, 1941, to Stanley and Mary Lucien and grew up in Unity, Maine. She graduated in 1963 from Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing in Boston, MA (affiliate of Harvard Medical School). For many years she provided that special loving care to hundreds of people as a Hospice Nurse in Cincinnati prior to retiring in 2003.
She is survived by her husband Gale; sons Douglas (Anne), Victor (Tina), Jeffrey (Valerie), and daughter Michelle (Jeroen) and six grandchildren; and her sister Marolyn and brother Stan. She also served as a mother to foreign exchange students Alex, Michelle and Ben, and to Bob, an orphan, during his high school years.
Pat grew up in a small town in rural Maine with a love for animals. She was accepted into nurses training at the Peter Bent Brighman School of nursing in Boston. While a student she was the benefactor of a medical procedure from a surgeon who became a recipient of the Nobel Prize for Medicine for his scientific work with human tissue compatibility on enhancing human life with transplants. His generosity set an example for Pat in her career in paying-it-forward during her loving care as a nurse for life. Even in memory care you could see her reaching out to others in extending her loving care.
She was an artist in capturing memories through her work by creating wonderful memories in scrapbook with the production of tons of family albums. She leaves this world with a hand full of pictures as she works on her final scrapbook in Heaven.
A Celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Sunday October 11, 2026, at 4 – 6 PM at Moffit Farms Clubhouse, 5910 William Conner Way in Carmel, IN.

She met a Prince and became a Princess for 62 years and 6 months with marriage to Gale Prince.
