Patricia "Pat" Jeffers

Patricia (Pat) Jeffers, age 95, of Indianapolis passed away on September 3, 2026. Never married, Pat leaves behind no family members. Though she was raised in Terre Haute, Pat came to consider St. Monica Catholic Church in Indianapolis as her true home and family. She leaves behind many beloved parish friends and friends from other facets of her long life.

Pat was a 1959 graduate of Marian University. Her professional career included assisting students with higher education financial aid at Ivy Tech and later as the first director of financial aid at Marian University in Indianapolis. She concluded her professional work as Advocate at the Metropolitan Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis from which she retired.

Pat had a gift for loyal friendship. For many years she assisted Fr. Joseph Dooley and joined him on his group travels which were treasured memories for her. Over the years, she shared her home with innumerable students and others in need of temporary housing. She was a generous volunteer at St. Monica, serving as a Eucharistic minister and as coordinator of the collection counting ministry. She will be deeply missed by her parish family.
