Patricia Loiuse Carlson

Patricia Louise Carlson, 80, passed away on February 8, 2022 in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on December 14, 1941 to the late Fred and Lelia (Fetterman) Carlson in Sioux City, Iowa.

She graduated from Central High School in Sioux City in 1960. Patricia spent much of her time raising her daughter on their farm in Merrill, IA, but also pursued work at World Airways as well as working as a secretary at Nelson Berger Funeral Home. She lived in many different states over the years including Iowa, California, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Ohio but spent the last several years in Batesville, Indiana.

Pat loved travel and adventure. She had a smile that could light up a room and a silly sense of humor. She will be remembered for her love of racing, both Indy 500 and Nascar.  She was known as a wonderful cook and everyone enjoyed her baking around the Holidays. She held strong to her faith and love of her friends and family.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Teri Lee Hedemark; grandchildren Tessa (Jessie) Collis, Alex Hedemark, and Evan Hedemark; great grandchildren Brooklyn, James, and Heaven; sister Ginni Shattuck; brothers Fred Carlson, Rick (Laura) Carlson, and Dan (Lynette) Carlson and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Lelia Carlson; sister June Hickman and sister Jan Borchers

Services will be held in Centerville, SD at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park.
