Patricia Ann Ervin

Patricia Ann Ervin, age 84, passed away on Sunday evening, June 28, 2026.

Pat had many interests in her life and things she loved doing.  She greatly enjoyed doing a church bus route and taking the church teens to nursing homes to visit and sing.

She would pick the ladies up and take them places for the Sunshine Club for Charity Baptist Church.  She also owned several rental properties which she took great pride and joy in managing.

Fishing, traveling, shopping, playing bingo, and dancing were among some of her favorites that she enjoyed over the years. 

Pat is preceded in death by her first husband: Dennis Taylor, and later by her second husband: Charles Ervin, and a very special friend later in life George Lindle.

She is preceded in death by her adoptive parents: Peggy and Arnold Clouse.

Patricia is also preceded in death a daughter in infancy named Florence.

Deceased brothers James and Roy.  Deceased sister-Charlotte.

Deceased stepsons: Chuck and Randy Ervin.

Pat is survived by her siblings: Ladonna Ogburn, Pamela Mackey, and Gerald Clouse.

She is also survived by her daughter: Thenea (husband Tony) Locke, and their children: Anthony and Jessica Locke (Ayden, Jaxon, Aubrey), Johnathan Kirk, Adam and Jesica, Christina and Josh (Macy, Layla).

Son: Dennis Taylor, children: Dennis and Mariah(Rayan), Quinton.

Daughter: Tonya (husband Bryan) Brown and their children: Bryton (Felicity and Everly), Owen and Katie (Callahan, Coleson).

Daughter: Hope Hensley Curry (Joe) - Children: Nevaeh, Malakai.

Stepdaughter: Crystal Alden.

Most importantly Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, family member, relative and friend to many who will be fondly remember and greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation which will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Decatur Township, located at 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46221.

A funeral service to celebrate Pat's life will follow at 2:00 PM. Gary Brown of Unity Missionary Baptist Church will officiate.

In accordance with Pat's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded after the service.

Flanner Buchanan - Decatur Township Funeral Center has charge of arrangements.
