Patricia Ellen Miles

Patricia Ellen Miles 75, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at her home. She was born April 12, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN. She was the daughter of Samuel P. and Rose C. (Halas) Pendygraft. She attended Ben Davis High School and had worked at The Waffle House and Italian Garden Restaurant for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry Miles, and grandson, Lindy Miles. She is survived by her daughter, Linda E. Sakowski and her fiancé, Mark Hayden, of Indianapolis; sons, Richard D. Phillips, and his wife, Georgia M. of Noblesville, David H. Phillips and his wife, Donna M. of Indianapolis, and Jason S. Phillips and his wife, Kristina D. of Danville; step-daughter, Kathy Hetzler, and her husband, J.R., step-son, Steve Miles, and his wife, Leah; 11 grandchildren, Brandon Phillips, Nicholas Miller, Amy Olson, Matthew Phillips, Rodney Phillips, Alexander Phillips, J. Andre Sims, Lauren Hetzler, Zach Hetzler, Nathan Miles, and Kelly Miles; 7 great-grandchildren, Makaela Ash, Abbey Olson, Tatyana Sims, Deion Jones, Andre J. Sims, Samaiya Sims, and Leah Sims. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan – 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
