Patricia Ann (Plummer) Davis
88, Carmel, passed away on April 12, 2014. She was born on November 16, 1925 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Thomas and Virginia (Godfrey) Plummer. She attended Shortridge High School, Monticello Junior College, Godfrey, IL and Laboratory Institute of Merchandising in New York City.
On November 28, 1946 she married Walter W. Davis, who survives her in death. After raising her children, she worked at Petite Woman and Lazarus Fine Jewelry each for eight years. She had a love for cooking, and her family often jokingly called her the "Gadget Queen" of the kitchen. She was active as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Indianapolis Zoo Guild. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Walter W. Davis; son Thomas B. Davis; daughters Janet C. Espiritu, Christine L. (Robert) Welcher; son-in-law Charles Lawrance; grandchildren Jennifer Espiritu (Christopher) Frederick, Scott (Megan) Lawrance, Kenneth (Kristy) Lawrance; great-grandchildren Paige Espiritu-Frederick, Ethan Lawrance, Allison Lawrance, Joshua Lawrance, Jacob Lawrance, and Gabe Frederick.
She was preceded in death by her, son Mark W. Davis in 1967 and daughter Margaret L. (Charles) Lawrance in 2011.
Funeral services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1827 Kessler Blvd E. Drive, Indianapolis, IN on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Patricia's name to the Cancer Research Institute, 55 Broadway, Suite 1802, New York, NY 10006.
