Patricia (Berry) Crossland, 87, passed away on April 3, 2017. Pat, a lifelong Indianapolis resident and a parishioner at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, was born to Eileen Shea Berry on January 31, 1930. She attended Ladywood High School and Purdue and Butler universities. It was at Butler where Pat met the love of her life, George A. Crossland and together had 15 children.
While at Butler, Pat was member of Delta Gamma Sorority. While raising a family, Pat was an avid quilter and was a member of various quilting associations, most fondly the Quilters Guild of Indianapolis and the Indiana State Quilt Guild. She was also a seamstress and Costume Director for the Civic Theater and the Indianapolis Opera Company. Pat was a member of the St. Joan of Arc Choir, sat on many parish boards and supported the SJA French Market festival, donating a quilt to be raffled for many years. Pat also was a member of the Embroiderers Guild and was a Girl Scout Leader. She also worked at the Knights of Columbus #437 Bingo, as a monitor for nearly 40 years and was member of the Daughters of Isabella at the council.
Pat is preceded in death by George, her husband of 41 years, her son, Richard, her mother, Eileen S. Berry.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Kevin Crossland, Keith (Sherri Jo) Crossland, Kathleen Crossland, Thomas Crossland, Karen(Bill) Jehling, Kerry (Melissa) Crossland, Karol (Phil) Yambor, Kenneth Crossland, Kurt (Beth) Crossland, Kristine Grosvenor, Kyle Crossland, Katy (Roger) Freitag, Kelly (Alexia Oaks) Crossland and Karl Crossland. Pat is also survived by 19 Grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Mass with Christian burial will be Saturday, April 8 at St. Joan of Arc Church, at 12:00pm. Visitation will be held Friday, April 7 from 3 to 8 at Flanner & Buchanan-Broad Ripple.
