Patricia Ann Watson Shanks

Patricia Ann Shanks, departed this life on Saturday, February 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by her loving mother Nelvia Miller. She attended John Hope #26 grade school and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School. Pat also attended Indiana Central and Butler University. She professed Christ at a very early age. While traveling around singing with the St. John Ensemble and the Cleveland Cole Singers she met her husband Gene and to that union there were 3 children, Gene Jr., Bryan and Tanja Renee. She and Gene saw fit to help raise their two grandchildren, DuWayne and LaTasha. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, 3 children, 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, aunts, uncle, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Calling will be Wednesday February 16, 2011 from 10 AM to service time at Noon in Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd. W. Dr. Indianapolis, In. 46228.
