Patricia Susan Allen

Patricia Susan Allen, 89, of Indianapolis passed away on February 22, 2026. She was born on January 26, 1937, in the United Kingdom. She was united in marriage to Robert Allen, in 1982, and they shared a loving marriage creating beautiful memories for 41 years until his passing in 2023.

Pat was known for her kindness and loving nature. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing and taking walks by the water. In earlier years she enjoyed traveling and seeing what the world had to offer. She absolutely adored her pets, GiGi and ZsaZsa. She dedicated many years as a trusted employee at Western Electric. She went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse for Riley Hospital. It was there that she found great passion for caring for children in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit. She relocated to Los Angeles in 1979 and returned to Indianapolis in recent years.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will certainly be missed by the who had the honor of knowing her.

She is survived by her children, Susan Patton (Nelson), Gregory L. Nelson, Christopher D. Nelson; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen; her parents, Robert and Molly Warner; and her siblings, Peter, Paul, and Prudence.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Flanner Buchanan-Memorial Park. Pat will be laid to rest with her husband, Robert Allen, in Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
