On June 17th, we lost a bright flower. If I could describe Patricia A Krout, she would be the “Centerpiece” of our garden at 84 years of age.
The daughter of Helen Berry and Edmund Berry was born October 9th in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. Patricia always aspired for so much more.
Patricia attended Beachwood High School in Fort Mitchell Kentucky from Pre-School through Graduation. She then continued on to college at Miami-Ohio University receiving a Bachelor's Degree and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Patricia decided that numbers were her gift and obtained her CPA Certification.
After a brief stint in the corporate world, Patricia decided to begin a family with William A. Krout. They both decided to move from northern Kentucky to Indianapolis in the late 50’s. They had three children whom are surviving her beauty: Kevin Thorne Krout, Kimberly Dawn Krout and Clayton Taylor Krout. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Nicole Krout. Patricia was preceded in passing by her loving husband, William Krout and her sister, Sue Berry.
Patricia and William found a winter resort in the Florida Keys in the late 70’s. Patricia has also been a very active member with the Marathon Yacht Club in Florida.
Patricia was passionate about playing Duplicate Bridge, playing sometimes up to three times a week. Patricia received the highest award in 2014 when she was awarded Gold Life Member from the American Contract Bridge League. Patricia was also the President of the Indianapolis Bridge Association and responsible for hosting the national conventions in Indianapolis.
Patricia was extremely talented and enjoyed being an artist by creating award winning paintings. Numerous paintings have been sold and are on display in retail establishments in the Florida Key’s.
