Patrice Lyon

Patrice K. Lyon, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. She was born to David and Mary Klise on October 23, 1925 in Pittsburg, PA. After graduating from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in 1947, where she studied Art, she met and married Edwin V. Lyon of Peoria, IL. Patty's life-long love of books was fulfilled through her lengthy career as a librarian at both the Hesburgh Library at the University of Notre Dame and the Irwin Library at Butler University. She retired in 2014. Survivors include her brother Jerry; children Julie, Jake, Molly Carter, Mary Pastore, Francie, Mike, Jim (Debi), Lucy (Steve) Herrington, and Katie (Jim) Wilcox. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Muffy Slevin, brother Tom; and sons Tom and David.
