Patricia L. (Ward) Brown 73, of Indianapolis, IN. passed away November 14, 2012. She was born June 2, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN to Frank and Nellie Ward. She graduated from George Washington High School and was a member of the Mooresville Eastern Star. She had been a member of the Unity Missionary Church and later attended the 1st United Evangelical Church. Before she became ill, she was very active in the Decatur Township community, including the schools and politics. She lived for her children, grandchildren and most of all her great grandchildren; always saying they made her feel so much better when she was ill. It gave her great joy knowing that she needed them just as much as they needed her. She always wanted them around, as they loved her very much. Patti is survived by her husband of 38 years, Donald W. (Don) Brown, a daughter Kim Dorsey of Hillview, KY., a son Kevin M. Waggoner of Indianapolis, step daughter Pamela (Warren) Wheeler, of South Carolina, 4 grandchildren; Justin, Hope, Morgan and Kyla who they raised as their own daughter and 4 great grandchildren; Payton, Chance, Nevaeh, Cerenity. Patti had many friends who will miss her, she was a like a ray of sunshine to them and always ready to help whenever needed. She had been in so much pain; she will really enjoy her new body when she gets to heaven. Services will be at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur, where visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 PM and Monday 9-11 AM and the funeral Monday at 11 AM with burial to follow in Floral Park Cemetery.
