Pamela “Pam” Liford, 67, of Indianapolis passed away on September 22, 2021. She was born on July 18, 1954 to the late Forrest and Bernice Dobbs.
Pamela could best be remembered for her years as a nurse at St. Francis and St. Vincent Hospital. She had an LPN from Indiana Vocational Technical College. She devoted 20+ years working in the hospital, mostly in the dementia unit, where she would build quite the bond with her patients. She would later carry on her nursing skills by coming to live and care for her mother in later years. She was born and raised on the east side of Indianapolis where she would live there for most of her life. Pam’s free spirit was admired by many. She had a love for animals and she enjoyed reading and coloring with her great grand kids.
Pamela is survived by her loving granddaughter, Samantha Pierce and her great grandchildren, Alana Pierce , Addilynn Pierce and Sawyer Pierce
She is preceded in death by her dearest Mother, Bernice Dobbs; Father, Forrest Dobbs; Daughter, Mary Atwood; Brother, Fred Dobbs; ex-husband Kenneth Liford.
A celebration of life will occur on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street. At 2PM. Friends and family may gather from 1PM until the time of the service.
