Pamela Ann Camis, 83, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away on January 24, 2026. She was born on May 6, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, to parents, Joseph Follmer and Anne (Capri) Follmer.
Pam devoted many years of her life to her profession as a ticket agent for Delta Airlines, a role that allowed her to share her kindness and compassion with countless travelers.
Pam loved music and possessed a remarkable talent as a pianist. Her husband, Dennis often found joy in listening to her play. Her musical gift was complimented by her artistic talents as a painter. In addition to her love for music and painting, Pam had a passion for wildlife. She found great pleasure in watching the birds visit her outdoor sanctuary that she created for them. She volunteered at a Wild bird sanctuary during her many winters in Florida. She learned all of the birds names, knew their injuries and would talk to them while cleaning their enclosures. Alongside her hobbies, Pam was an avid reader, finding solace and adventure within the pages of countess books.
Those who knew Pam valued her kindness and caring personality. Her family was of utmost importance to her, always planning adventures and activities with her eight grandkids. She shared a deep bond with her family that was characterized by love, support and joy.
Pam is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Camis; daughters, Kelly Kooy and Kim Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Funeral Mass for Pam will be at 1pm on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite) – 4700 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250.
