Orville H. Smith
90, of Indianapolis, passed away, Tuesday November 27, 2012. He was born January 31, 1922 in Ottawa, IL.
Orville served in WWII in the US Army Air Corps. He was an Electronic Technician with Admiral for 19 years. He was a member of the Church of Good Shepard in Bloomington, IN. He enjoyed wood working, leather work, baking bread and most of all, shopping at Walmart. He will be remembered most for being such a strong and independent person.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Cheryl "Cheri" (Dan) Smith Foley and Linda Hansen; grandchildren, Erik Foley, Matthew (Jennifer) Foley, Gary (Angela) Hansen, Larry (Shawn) Hansen and Tyee (Aimee) Hansen; and 15 great grandchildren.
Orville was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of over 50 years, Delphine Waggoner Smith.
Friends may call from 11-1 pm on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday December 3, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan. Entombment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
