Oramel Gene Hartsaw Brown

Oramel Gene Brown 99, Franklin, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Indiana Masonic Home. Gene was a member of Daughters of the Nile, Smyrna Guild, Ladies' Oriental Shrine, Prospect OES, Amaranth, and White Shrine of Jerusalem. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Erwin Everett Brown. She is survived by her four children: Shirley (Bruce) Martin, Barbara (Claud) Hayes, E. Ed (JoAnn) Brown, Sarah Adams, a brother, William Hartsaw, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 8pm at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North, with an Amaranth service held at 7pm. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11am with visitation one hour prior. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
