Nota Mae West, 96, of Speedway, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015. She was born on October 1, 1918 in Smithville, TN as one of nine children to James Alvin and Lucy Jane (Hayes) Billings. Nota was a longtime member of Speedway United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Jackie (Harold) Meadows of Anderson and Brenda (Larry) Wyatt of Mooresville. Nota is also survived by grandchildren, Fred (Pam) Meadows, Michael (Monica) Meadows, Tony (Debra) West; and great-grandchildren, Chad (Mechelle) Meadows, Chelsea Meadows, Nate Meadows, James West and Matthew West. Nota is also survived by her sister, Neva Catledge. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James C. West; 2 brothers and 6 sisters. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 5-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway. Funeral services will take place on Friday at 11am, also at the funeral home, with calling 1 hour prior. Entombment will follow in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association. Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
