Norman Sharp

Norman Sharp, 80, of Noblesville, passed away June 15, 2024. He was born June 21, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Norman and Esther (Peterson) Sharp. He married Lila Wingate on August 29, 1964.

Norm proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy from 1962 until 1964. He retired from Chrysler Automotive as a Quality Engineer after 38 years of service. He had also served his community for many years as a reserve sheriff’s deputy in Marion and Hancock counties. He was a self-appointed philosopher, always willing to instill his wisdom into others. An avid reader and armchair Jeopardy champion, he loved learning new information and creating a strong foundation for education within his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Lila Sharp; two daughters, Julien (Alix MacLean) and Amy (Corey) Beechboard, three grandchildren, Jacob Norman Beechboard, Grant Beechboard, and Sydney Beechboard; two great grandchildren, Dawson Clemans and Alaina Beechboard; sister, Donna Ambrous; and a brother, Wayne Sharp.

The family is planning a private Celebration of Life at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Humane Society for Hamilton County.
