Norma Jean Hicks, age 77 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully on Friday morning, May 24, 2024 with her loving husband Jeff at her side.

Norma was born on May 23, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of Duke and Essie Castner.

Norma married Jeff Hicks on January 3, 1989 in Covington, Kentucky. She is survived by her husband of 35 years Jeff Hicks of Indianapolis, Indiana.

She is also survived by daughter Samera Hernandez of Lawrence, Indiana and daughter Renee (husband Tom) Edwards of Sturgis, Michigan.

Four grandchildren: Leah Jo Copas, Jessie Collins, Faith Edwards, and Grace Edwards.

Two great grandchildren: Austin Muelen and Adelyn Muelen.

One nephew: Charles Palmer.

A Memorial Gathering and Celebration of Norma’s life will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East Funeral Center, located at 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229.

A brief service will follow at 3:00 PM.
