Norma Jean (Jackson) Adams

Norma Jean (Jackson) Adams, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 18, 2025, at the age of 95. She was born in Louisville to the late Odie and Mary Jackson as the youngest of six siblings, all of whom predeceased her. Norma was a graduate of Shawnee High School. At age 18 she went to work at General Box Company (later Inland Container Corp. and then Temple-Inland), where she worked for 50 years as a bookkeeper. Norma was married to the love of her life, the late David Adams, for 46 years. She was a long-time member of Springdale Presbyterian Church, where she volunteered in the office for many years. An avid gardener, she also was active in several community organizations, including Historic Locust Grove, where she co-managed the Gardeners’ Fair, and the Louisville Historical League. Norma is survived by her nephew, Gary (Nancy) Stage, her niece, Nina Trent, numerous grand and great-grandnieces and nephews, and her many friends. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. at Cave Hill Cemetery 701 Baxter Ave Louisville, KY 40204. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of one’s choice. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North in Indianapolis, IN.
