Norda Jeanette Richards

Norda Jeanette Richards, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, age 92, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 6, 1932, to Virgil Stader and Edna Parkinson.

Norda dedicated her life to her family, always a source of unconditional love, support, and wise counsel. She will be remembered for her positive personality, strength, her willingness to listen, and for the joy she found in puzzles, crafts, and authoring poems (hundreds of poems).

In addition to her parents, Norda was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John Edward Richards. She is survived by her two sons Steven Richards (Diane) and Randall Richards (Julie), her step-sister Conni Newby (Alan), eight grandchildren, Nicole June (Chris), Jonathon Richards (Britnee), Brittany Shubinsky (Joe), Jamie Westphal (Neil), Troy Richards, Samantha Linnenkamp (Mark), Rebekah Richards, Katelyn Richards and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at Flanner and Buchanan Speedway on November 1, 2025 at 2:00pm followed by a private graveside service at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
