Nora G. Emberton

Indianapolis, Indiana – Nora G. Emberton passed away while being comforted by her family and friends on Thursday, September 21, 2023. She was born to Frank Emberton and Nancy (Wood) Noland on December 4, 1959. She was 63 years old.

Nora graduated from Warren Central High School in 1978 and worked in banking and the auto loan industry for many years.

Nora loved to follow sports and especially her dear Colts. The Raiders could do in a pinch, but her home team was the one she loved to follow the most. She could also be found crafting and visiting local craft fairs.

More than anything else though, Nora was known for her kindness. She was a friend to anyone and everyone and while she wouldn’t spend ten dollars on herself, her generosity to her family and friends knew no limits.

Nora is survived by her daughter, Kristi Dowty (Derek), bonus children Stacy Mudd and Ashley Mudd; grandchildren Cooper Dowty and Matthew Judkins; sister Regenia Clemons, stepfather Ewell “Ken” Noland; her nephew Carl Stamper (Andrea); and her niece Nichole Wineinger.

An informal visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, from 5 pm – 8 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made for cancer research to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance .
