Nonia M. Burdette-Smith, 70 of Indianapolis was born July 21, 1945 and died on October 8, 2015. She was born in Livingston, Kentucky, to Rollie and Hazel Jones. Nonia moved to Indianapolis at the age of 17. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker who loved home decorating. She spent 30 years performing gospel music. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Evangelistic Center in Indianapolis. Nonia is preceded in death by her husbands, Edward C. Hurley and Larry G. Burdette. Surviving to cherish her memories are her husband, Kenly Smith, her children, Jerry (Lora) Hurley, Rejeania (John) Messer-Denton, Jennifer (David) Kirstein and Kenneth Darren (Kelly) Hurley, brothers, Bobby (Debbie) Jones, Amos (Nellie) Jones and Ernie (Bonnie) Jones. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Justin, Doniecka, Ryan, Josh, Easton, Chase, Kevin, Stacia and Tyler, as well as great-grandchildren, Ella, Adilynn, Caroline, Landon, Cruze and Hudson. Friends may visit from 3 to 7 PM Sunday, October 11, 2015 PM at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday at Memorial Park. Friends may sign Nonia's online guest registry at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
