Nondas Barnhart Suckow Butz

97 of Carmel, IN, Mrs. Butz was born September 13, 1924, in Hancock County to Dallas and Hazel Barnhart. She is survived by two daughters, Janet S. Davis and Dr. Pamela S. Carpenter; three grandchildren, Matthew Davis (Katie), Lauren Miehl (Matthew) and Emily Carpenter. Mrs. Butz is preceded in death by her first husband of 54 years, Robert H. Suckow and second husband of 14 years, F. Edward Butz; two brothers, Allen A. and John H. Barnhart.

Mrs. Butz was a graduate of Fortville High School and Central Normal College. She was a school teacher in her early years and taught in Johnson and Clark Counties. She was a member of Meridian Street United Church, Order of the Eastern Star and PEO Sisterhood.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
