Nola Imogene (Garner) Spears, 86 of Indianapolis, passed away, along with her beloved daughter, Donna Rosebrough Saturday, March 24, 2018. Nola was a resident of Burkesville, KY before moving to Indianapolis with her husband, Delmer in 1948. Delmer and Nola had two daughters, Pamela Markus and Donna Rosebrough and also raised their oldest granddaughter from birth, Bobbi Cantrell. Nola was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church for many years. Known to many by Granny, she made her home a welcome place. With a southern accent as sweet as her homemade apple pie, her charm could win over anyone’s hearts. She was so proud of her family in so many different ways. The only thing bigger than her infectious smile was her heart. She will be missed but celebrated by all who were lucky enough to know her. She was preceded in death by her husband Delmer Spears, parents Mattie and Wilbur Garner, sisters Uldeen Furgeson, Bessie Sewell, Virginia Young, Gwendolyn Wray and joined in heaven with her daughter Donna Rosebrough. She is survived by her sister Marie (Weldon) Rowe, daughters Pamela (George) Markus, Bobbi (Chris) Cantrell, Jamie Dunn, Jimmy Dunn, Eric (Kelsey) Rosebrough, Ryan (Evann) Rosebrough son-in-law Rick Rosberough and 13 great grandchildren, many in-laws and numerous friends. Nola was feisty, a bit stubborn and always young at heart and very, very loved and missed beyond belief. Calling will be held on Thursday March 29, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway from 4 to 8 pm with additional calling on Friday March 30 from 10 am until service time at 11 am. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield, IN. Online condolences and a video tribute may be viewed at www.flannerbuchanan.com
