Noel C. Garner 90 of Franklin, Indiana formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana went to his heavenly home November 8, 2014. He was born on May 18, 1924 in Russell County, Kentucky to the late Benjamin and Ethel (Groce) Garner. He was joined in marriage to Elizabeth Johnson on July 25, 1953. He worked as a Truck Driver for Southern Scavenger Service for over 40 years. He was a member of the Shelby Street Pentecostal Lighthouse Church and formerly a member of West Newton Full Gospel Tabernacle. His love for the Lord was of the utmost importance to him as he served Him in these two churches for many years. His family shared that Noel was a hard worker that spent long hours providing for them yet loved spending those rare spare moments with his family. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elizabeth; his daughters, Nancy Smith, Sherry Terry, Tammy Wyatt; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great- great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by 1 sister, 4 brothers, a granddaughter, and a great granddaughter. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 11 AM at the Shelby Street Pentecostal Lighthouse Church (8620 S. Shelby Street Indianapolis, Indiana 46227) with visitation there from 10 AM. The service will be officiated by Rev. Matthew Cox and Pastor Wayne Grace. Additional visitation for Noel will be Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan- Decatur Township. He will be laid to rest at Concordia Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN. The family request any memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
