Nina S. (Switzer) Hocker

Nina S. Hocker 92 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away September 29, 2013. She was born November 27, 1920 in Scott Co., Kentucky to the late Clint and Naomi (Rowe) Switzer. She retired from the Indiana State Library where she served as a Librarian. Nina was very civic minded serving her community in various capacities when she was able. She was interested in genealogy, which she traced her family's roots, she was an avid bird watcher, and reader, just to name a few of her pleasures in life. She is survived by her children, Walter H. Hocker III, Naomi Hocker, grandchildren, Carol Bouabid, Anna Evans, John Hocker, Robyn Hocker, great grandchildren, Mariem, Lina and Zeyd Bouabid, and Katie and Audrey Evans. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Hocker, Jr., and her son, Roger. Services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 1:00 P.M. at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur with visitation there from 11 A.M.
