Nhu Thi Le, who was 82 years old, passed away in Westfield, Indiana on March 1, 2026 surrounded by her beloved husband of fifty-nine years and her family. Nhu was born in Vietnam and left with her family in 1975 along with many other refugees. She settled into a new life in Indiana with the support of the Quaker Friends Church and the wonderful family and friends they made in their new community. In her later years, Nhu enjoyed gardening, returning to Vietnam to visit and traveling to other domestic and international destinations, watching Vietnamese soap operas, shopping, talking for hours with her siblings, and cooking for her family. She always made sure that her family was well-stocked on Vietnamese food, especially her egg rolls!
Above all else, Nhu was a strong wife and mother to her five children. She led by example and made sure that her family honored their Vietnamese tradition including speaking Vietnamese at home and honoring her relatives spiritually. She faced many challenges along with her husband and met them with strength and perseverance, all values that she has passed down to her children and grandchildren.
Nhu will be deeply missed by her husband Ty and her family members. She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Ms. Loan Pham (Tinh) and is survived by her children, Son Pham (Eve), Thuy Pham (Andrew), Ngoc Pham Wozniak (Randy), Hanh Pham Lalas (Lou), and her seven grandchildren Ethan, Audrey, Nolan, Olivia, Victoria, Tiffany, and Mia. She will be a great grandmother in July.
We love you so much Mom and will miss you immensely!
