Nellie Ann Parker of Monticello, Indiana, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away surrounded by her loving family at the age of 88 years old. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Raymond and Vivian (Sterrett) Brown. Nellie was a hard worker during her work career and worked many different positions, giving her all to each job. She was a Ben Davis High School graduate where she was a Cheer Leader there. Nellie had many diverse interest which included but was not limited to being a member of the Blue Herron Golf Club in Florida, when she resided there, enjoyed camping in her younger years, going to the casino, an avid Indiana University Men’s Basketball fan, especially during the Bobby Knight era, and she was an accomplished bowler participating in a number of leagues at various bowling alleys and even taught younger individuals the fundamentals and technics of bowling. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her loving family, as they enjoyed spending time with her. She is survived by her loving daughters, Sherri (Keith) Schneck, Cindi (Tim) Burks, Marla (Russ) Renton, her grandchildren, Lacie, Brittani Ann, Brittany Lauren, Cody, her great grandchildren, Chandler, Piper, Aveline, Parker, Lauren, Cole, her great-great grandchildren, Kaydence, and Landen. Besides Nellie’s parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Wayne Parker, her daughter, Terri Martin, her Soulmate, Don Shockley, and her siblings, Raymond, Mary, Bobby, and Furman. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, 12:00pm-2:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Floral Park with her Funeral Service to follow immediately there at 2:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana. The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
