Natalie James Polzin
86, of Indianapolis, passed away August 23, 2013. Natalie was born on July 28, 1927 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to parents, Nevin S. and Grace C. James.
Natalie was the co-owner of "The Little House" and "The Other House" home accessories/gifts/furniture) stores in Broad Ripple for nearly 30 years. She was known for her great style and interest in design and her amazing love of animals. These traits have been passed on to all in her family. In the past several years, she enjoyed her many new friendships at her residence, The Forum. Natalie attended the University of Wisconsin. She was a member of Stansfield Circle, the Wisconsin Club, Fall Creek Questers, Northminster Presbyterian Church and she participated in many St. Margaret Guild's Decorator Showhouses.
Natalie was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William J. Polzin, in 2009. She is survived by her children, Andrea Tremain Ray (Quinn Ray) and William Gregory Polzin (Cheryl Kilby Polzin); grandchildren, Kelli Polzin, Megan Tremain Edwards (Lee Edwards), and Michael Tremain (Jeanette Mobley Tremain), great-grandchildren, Evan Tremain, Lucas Tremain, and Emmet Edwards; and her cats, Henry and Maggie.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 31, 11:00am at the Good Shepherd Chapel at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens 9700 Allisonville Rd. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
