Nancy Moore

Nancy Neale Moore, 87, Cincinnati, Ohio, devoted, wife, loving mother and grandmother passed away December 26, 2023. She was born March 7, 1936, in Indianapolis, IN, where she grew up.  

She was a member of Mortar Board and Kappa Alpha Theta sorority at Butler University in Indianapolis; where she received a Bachelor's degree in Education and then taught Kindergarten.  

She married Jim Moore in 1959, who preceded her in death after 47 years of a loving marriage.  She was a member of Northwood Christian Church in Indianapolis for many years, and an active member of Sycamore Presbyterian Church, Cincinnati. Nancy was also an affiliate member at St. Andrews Presbyterian in Beulah, MI. She spent her summers at Crystal Lake in northern Michigan and loved being with family at the lake.  

Nancy is survived by her son, David Neale Moore (Anne), Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Cindy Moore Gould (Eric), Cincinnati, OH; brother, Bill Neale (Carolyn), Indianapolis, IN and five grandchildren.  A funeral service and burial will be held at the Good Shepherd Chapel at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (9700 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250) on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 1PM.  

A memorial service will be held at Sycamore Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati, OH on January 6, 2024.  Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11 a.m.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Cincinnati (P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263-3597).
