Nancy Macy, 61, of Indianapolis, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 after an extended illness.
Nancy was born October 7, 1952 in Shelbyville, IN a daughter of William Edwin and Rosemary (nee: Mohler) Macy.
She was a life-long member of the Quaker Church. Her main occupation was as an Executive Secretary for an Architectural Firm, but she is well-known for being a "work mom".
In her free time, Nancy enjoyed studying genealogy and being a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved gardening and tending to her roses. She also served several years on the Indianapolis Symphony Committee, and was a huge IU Basketball Fan!
In addition to her mother, Nancy is survived by her loving companion of many years, Harry Itce. Also surviving are her sons, Riley Keaton and Sam Macy; a stepdaughter Andrea (Billy) Warren; siblings Jane (Bob) Longstreet and Mary (Jim) Conway; a sister-in-law Barbara Macy; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother Mark Macy.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help defray the cost of medical and funeral expenses. Donations may be sent to the Funeral Center to be forwarded to the family.
